The Latvian Cultural Garden reflects Latvia’s landscape through native trees, river-like lines, and natural forms. Look for birch trees—common in Latvia—at the garden’s southern end. Stone sculptures in the garden were created in Latvia by the Burgesses.
At the center is an arched boulder with a recessed silhouette of a woman in traditional folk dress. Latvian patterns are engraved in the granite by Ģirts Burvis. The monument is a nod to Latvian heritage and the journeys that brought immigrants from Latvia to the U.S.
