The Italian Cultural Garden was designed with an Italian Renaissance feel—broad walkways, balustrades, benches, and two winding staircases that lead down to a lower-level amphitheater. It was dedicated October 12, 1930, as “a symbol of the contribution of Italian culture to American democracy.”
