The HEALTHY YOU. HEALTHY CITY. initiative is excited to bring you Yoga on The Green. Yoga on the Green happens every Wednesday evening from June 3 through September 23. Masks are required now in the City of Cleveland.

Madison Yankovich, originally from Ridgway Pennsylvania, is a 2017 honors graduate of Slippery Rock University (SRU), with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, concentrating in both business administration and performance and choreography. During her time at SRU, she studied under the instruction of Linda Meacci from Schoolhouse Yoga Pittsburgh to obtain her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification in Hatha Yoga. Professionally, she has been teaching yoga for four years, practicing at Peaces of Me Yoga and Reiki Wellness Studio, in Ridgway Pennsylvania, Wilhelm Dance, and currently Browns Fit of Cleveland. She has been featured teaching yoga for Verve by Levelwear 2018- 2019 campaigns, leading arena yoga at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Furthermore, Yankovich’s dance career started while growing up as a performer on ABC in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her dance career started to take off after graduation as a performer in Quake, Teena Marie Custer’s repertoire at The August Wilson Center in Pittsburgh. She has studied under various artists, such as guest artist Helen Simoneau in Flight Distance II, Helanius Wilkins and SRU faculty members Nora Ambrosio, Ursula Payne, Jennifer Keller, Melissa Teodoro and Teena Marie Custer, whose same piece was chosen to perform in the 2017 American College Dance Festival Gala at the University of Maryland. She has been teaching dance since the age of 14. Her teaching experience includes Aprils School of Dance in St. Mary’s Pennsylvania, The Pennsylvania Dance Company in Sharon Pennsylvania, and currently Wilhelm Dance in Cleveland. Yankovich has traveled to the Asia Pacific Dance Festival at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to study specific dance styles under the instruction of Oceania Dance Theatre of Fiji, Ballet Philippines, and Kumu Hula Michael Casupang. Most recently, she finished up the 2017-2019 NBA season performing as a Cavalier Girl during the pre-season, regular season, playoffs, and the NBA Finals, where she could be seen performing on ESPN, TNT, and ABC. During her time at the Cleveland Cavaliers, she was a featured performer for artists such as Flo Rida, Ludacris, Lil John, Coolio, Ray Parker Jr., and Sister Sledge.
