A FREE day of arts-infused festivities for all ages! Come celebrate winter with your loved ones in the Gordon Square Arts District, the heart of our neighborhood!
Schedule and locations for the day include:
- 10:30am – Welcome Walk for residents with “Walls of Love” giveaways and warm beverages at Miriam Ortiz-Rush Park (Madison Avenue & West 75th Street)
- 12pm – Free showings of Coming to America and A Christmas Story at the Capitol Theatre (1390 West 65th Street), while seats last
- 2-6pm –Main stage in front of the Capitol Theatre with live performances by Apostle Jones, Papo Ruiz y la Dulzura de la Salsa, and Church of Starry Wisdom, surrounded by outdoor seating, fire pits, free s’mores kits, and beer vending by neighborhood brewery Terrestrial Brewing Company
- Free Kid Zone at Near West Theatre (6702 Detroit Avenue) with hands-on crafts provided by Talespinner Children’s Theatre and outdoor performances on the Near West Theatre plaza
- Free indoor performances at Cleveland Public Theatre (6415 Detroit Avenue)
- “Snow Day Gallery” of visual artwork presented by Deep Roots Experience inside the Gordon Square Arcade (6516 Detroit Avenue)
- Resource center, COVID-19 vaccinations/boosters, take-home rapid tests, masks, and Pearls Girls clothing closet – all free of charge – inside the Gordon Square Arcade
- Shopping at the LGBT Center’s Queer the Halls Artisan Market (6705 Detroit Avenue), Cleveland Bazaar at 78th Street Studios (1300 West 78th Street), and the local businesses of the Gordon Square Arts District
- Free shuttle rides on a loop with stops at the Near West Theatre plaza, 78th Street Studios, and Miriam Ortiz-Rush Park
Theatre After Dark – Stay in the Gordon Square Arts District after dark to enjoy ticketed performances at our theatres. Pre-purchasing tickets is strongly encouraged.
