Featuring: Becky Boyd, Rachel Brown, Kristine Jackson, Emma Shook (when available) The musical group Sisters In Song began in spring 2015. Elyria native and award-winning musical performer, Kristine Jackson, was hosting a concert fundraiser to assist the Leukemia Lymphoma Society at the historic G.A.R. Hall in Peninsula, Ohio. Kristine had the notion to invite three of her favorite female Cleveland artists to join her to present something special and different to the local scene, enter… Becky Boyd, Rachel Brown, and Emma Shook. Each one of these ladies is a powerhouse artist that can host a class-act show on their own, but they combine their artistic sensibilities and deliver a one of kind show when they perform as Sisters In Song. Becky has been on the scene for forty plus years, won numerous awards for her vocal skills and usually has the audience in stitches with her stage banter and antics. Rachel is Cleveland’s piano boogie queen as she compliments her unique vocals with a twist of Dolly, Patsy and Lynda Ronstadt. Emma Shook is the fourth sister when her schedule allows, she keeps a busy calendar as she performs full-time with the Cleveland Orchestra. When Emma adds her unique touch to any given tune you can be sure it’s going to be something to remember. Audiences are moved by three distinct vocalists, Emma’s meticulous and soulful violin, three-part harmonies, and stories of struggles and triumphs as the ladies share insight to their original material. Listeners will also be pleasantly surprised to hear some familiar tunes they can sing along with and be part of the party. The overall vibe of this show is just good ol’ fun, as if you are sitting around a friend’s house while your favorite buddies sing, play and tell stories.
