If you’re looking for some good vibes and great music, well, “one love,” friend. Enter the Fourth Annual Reggae Fest.
Reggae Fest has been jammin’ since May 2017 and combines the love-inspired and laid-back music of live reggae with sweet and soulful food – and Red Stripe beer, of course. The festival is part of Twinsburg’s Rock the Park Concert Series and has always been held in May to kick off the warmer weather.
Hosted by TasteCLE, Reggae Fest attracts over 1,000 people to its intimate venue at Perici Amphitheatre every year. Why not more? There is a limit of 1,500 tickets and, once they’re sold out, that’s it. No entry. Not even at the door. Kids are welcome, but they need their own tickets. This ticket’s hotter than a Caribbean summer.
This year sees an expansion in the line-up as interest has grown. Several of the bands and artists are returning from prior years including The Cliftones, The Ark Band, and Carlos Jones & The PLUS Band. New to the Reggae Fest stage in 2021 are The Flex Crew, Mighty Mystic, and Pato Banton. Each band will perform on the main stage for 1-1.5 hours until 10pm and fill the air with their mixed, elemental songs.
Four food trucks have been confirmed for this year, dealing delicious eats of both the island and mainland varieties: Swat Food Truck, Barrio Tacos, Mo Bites, and Smooth Rider Smoothies.
