Get ready, baseball fans. The Midsummer Classic™ at Progressive Field™ is happening Tuesday, July 9. It’s the American League vs. the National League in the 90th installment of this much-anticipated event.
This marks the sixth time that Cleveland will host the Midsummer Classic. It will be the 90th edition of the All-Star Game, the oldest event of its kind. This will be the second time that Progressive Field serves as host of the jewel event, joining 1997, when it was known as Jacobs Field. Previously, Cleveland Stadium was the site of the All-Star Game in 1935 (the third in the event’s history), as well as 1954, 1963 and 1981.
