Zabava!, the lively festival honoring the vibrant Slovenian culture unique to Cleveland, Ohio, is set to return for its second year on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Slovenian National Home (SNH) in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood.
Zabava! (meaning "party with music and dancing" in Slovenian) will take place primarily outdoors, promising a delightful experience rain or shine. Attendees can indulge in an array of authentic Slovenian culinary delights, including smoked sausage, grilled čevapi, potica, strudel, and more. The festival will feature live polka bands, including the renowned Anthony Culkar and Band, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all to enjoy. Additionally, attendees can peruse a variety of Slovenian, European, and local vendors offering native crafts, foods, and other items.
A highlight of this year's festival is the balinca (bocce ball) tournament, where 16 teams will compete for victory.
