Our tour guides blend deep local knowledge, skill and a lot of heart to make your tour an enriching, entertaining and fun experience. Along your walk, you’ll meet up with historical Clevelanders, portrayed by actors and actresses, who share their story and their role and impact in shaping our city. All tours are 90 minutes except for Friday’s 45-minute lunchtime tour.
Established in 1826, Erie Street Cemetery serves as the burial ground for many of Cleveland’s pioneer families and military veterans of the Revolutionary War and Civil War. This 45-minute tour will begin inside the East 9th Street entrance with a conversation about the lives of Cleveland’s first permanent settlers. Among the tour’s highlights will be the stories of 19th century civil rights pioneer John Malvin and Native American Joc-O-Sot, also known as Walking Bear.
