
Join us for an open studio visit with artist Kristen Cliffel, whose work is part of the Surface & Structure: Contemporary Ceramics on the Edge of Form exhibition on display at The Sculpture Center. During this casual, come-and-go afternoon, guests will have an opportunity to visit the artist’s workspace and learn more about the creative process behind her work as she demonstrates ceramic techniques. This event is open to the public. RSVP at link on website. We hope you’ll stop by and spend some time with us! Kristen Cliffel is a ceramic sculptor working in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a 1990 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ceramics and Drawing. Cliffel is in public and private collections across the United States and has completed residencies at The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada and the Kohler Company in Wisconsin. She has also received several Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowships, the prestigious Cleveland Arts Prize, a grant from the Cuyahoga Partnership for Arts and Culture, and has been a Louis Comfort Tiffany foundation Grant Nominee.
