Downtown Public Art Walking Tour – New for 2021. This tour will highlight public art in all its forms in and around the Civic Center of downtown. We will not only visit the art but we explore the artist, their ties to Cleveland, the history of the work as well as the people being depicted and their connections to Cleveland. We will see the contemporary sculpture like the Free Stamp, Portal and Sky Blossoms, statues of many historical figures like Jesse Owens, Alexander Hamilton and Tom Johnson, as well as some stained glass by Tiffany and fantastic pieces that you may have never noticed before. Artists include Pae White, Karl Bitter, Daniel Chester French, Timothy Schmalz and Henry Hering to name a few. Reservations Required. Book on website. Tours are about two hours long.
