Spend an hour with Ling-lin Ku for an artist talk and tour of her exhibition Morning After. We’ll have the opportunity to explore the exhibition more deeply through conversation with the artist and audience, as Ku shares her inspirations, the conceptual goals behind her work, the techniques she uses in her creative process, and the core themes that shape the exhibition. About the exhibition: Morning After is a series of large-scale sculptures that blend breakfast imagery with sexual motifs to explore desire, indulgence, and vulnerability. At once seductive and unsettling, the works transform familiar domestic forms into exaggerated, hybridized environments that blur the line between pleasure and discomfort. Combining handcrafted techniques with digital processes like 3D scanning and CNC routing, Ku creates tactile yet uncanny objects that invite viewers to reflect on the complex intersections of fantasy, longing, and embodiment. About Ling-lin Ku: Ling-lin Ku is a Taiwanese-born multimedia artist and educator whose sculptural and installation works explore the intersection of the digital and the tangible. Known for her playful yet conceptually rigorous practice, she uses digital fabrication and everyday materials to transform familiar objects into surreal, thought-provoking forms. Ku currently serves as Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Oberlin College and Conservatory.
