The biggest block party in the city is set to heat up Lakewood once again this summer. Lakewood Summer Meltdown returns to Downtown Lakewood for its 18th year on Saturday, July 18 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
One of the region’s most anticipated street festivals, this free community celebration draws thousands from across Northeast Ohio to the heart of Lakewood each summer for an evening packed with live music, local food, family fun and community spirit.
The festivities take over Detroit Avenue between Marlowe and Arthur avenues and feature the popular Meltdown 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run and Walk, along with outdoor activities, games, food vendors, a beer garden and live entertainment throughout the evening. Proceeds from the races support LakewoodAlive and its community programming.
Families can explore a wide range of interactive activities hosted by local businesses and nonprofit organizations, from fitness challenges and games to kid-friendly attractions and hands-on fun throughout the festival district.
