The holiday season is a great time to showcase the history and charm of Little Italy! By the late 1890s, many Italian immigrants had settled in the Mayfield-Murray Hill area. By 1911, it was estimated that 96% of the inhabitants were Italian-born, with another 2% having Italian parents. Holiday traditions have been passed down through the generations, and many are still celebrated by Italian-American families today. On the tour, you’ll learn about the neighborhood’s holiday history and Italian traditions, and folklore. And if you’ve been good, La Befana may have something special for you!
