Join us every third Saturday of the month at the Ames Family Atrium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a unique art experience! Each session features a Northeast Ohio artist with interactive demonstrations, and a selection of authentic pieces from the CMA’s education collection in Art Up Close.
This Native American Heritage Month, witness the artistry of Taos Pueblo potter Marian Renee Pumpkin Concha-Saastamoinen, known as Pumpkin. Rooted in generations of pottery traditions from Taos, Jemez, Laguna, and Acoma Pueblos, Pumpkin’s craft reflects her heritage, using natural clays and traditional techniques. She'll demonstrate her work, offer insights into pueblo pottery, and invite guests to contribute to pottery design sketches. Pumpkin lives in Kent, Ohio, and remains active in the Cleveland community.
