Today’s most exciting consumer brands are launched, tested, and reinvented in real time—on shelves, in kitchens, and across social feeds. In this conversation, Brian Folmer or First Look CPG will moderate on conversation on how modern entrepreneurs are creating products at the speed of culture, balancing fast feedback with lasting impact. What does it take to become the next household name in an age where tastes change overnight—and how do you earn your spot in localized American pantries? Brian Folmer is the founder of FirstLook, a Cleveland-based venture platform that connects early-stage consumer brands with investors through a curated subscription box—often described as “Shark Tank in a box.” With a background in corporate retail and venture capital, Folmer launched FirstLook to streamline the fundraising process for consumer packaged goods (CPG) startups, enabling them to scale more efficiently. He also leads FirstLook Ventures and Distrobox, initiatives aimed at supporting emerging brands in reaching investors and distributors. Evan Delahanty is the founder and CEO of Peaceful Fruits, an Akron-based social enterprise producing 100% fruit snacks made from sustainably sourced Amazonian ingredients. Inspired by his Peace Corps service in Suriname, Delahanty created a company that not only offers healthy, additive-free snacks but also supports rainforest communities and employs adults with developmental disabilities in Northeast Ohio. Peaceful Fruits gained national attention following an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank and has since expanded into over 2,000 retail locations across the U.S MUSIC FEATURES: SUNSET FEATURE: Anya Van Rose Anya Van Rose is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Canton, Ohio, known for her emotive vocals and genre-blending sound that fuses indie folk, dream pop, and grunge influences. ROOFTOP: Fairmont Creamery Building The Fairmont Creamery Building is a landmark of industrial revitalization located in Cleveland’s historic Tremont neighborhood. After decades of decline, the structure was thoughtfully redeveloped in 2014 into a vibrant mixed-use community, blending its original industrial charm with modern amenities. Today, the building houses apartments, creative workspaces, fitness facilities, and local businesses, offering a unique live-work environment that reflects Tremont’s creative spirit. Managed by Sustainable Community Associates, the Fairmont Creamery has become a model for adaptive reuse and community-centered development.
