Great Lakes Science Center invites the community to come downtown and enjoy a day of free general admission and special programming from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 15, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Guests can get hands-on with science on the Science Phenomena floor and try out dozens of interactive stations from forming a tornado to testing the speed of their fastest pitch. In the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, guests can download a new mobile phone app, and examine a real Apollo Skylab 3 Command Module and learn how astronauts live and work in space. Kids age 7 and younger will especially have a ball in the Polymer Funhouse with plenty of room for them to climb and explore.
