The Expressive Arts Project features artists who have experienced trauma due to housing insecurity, experiencing PTSD, and or abuse. Clients participate in a year-long program culminating in a showcase of finished art, creative writings, and featuring the Rhythm of the Heart Drum Circle. Art is available for purchase. Expressive Art therapy uses creative mediums like drawing, painting, coloring, and sculpture and helps process traumatic events, providing an outlet when words fail. Special thanks to Cuyahoga Arts & Culture for its support and to the Staff of the West Side Catholic Center for offering this program to their clients.
