Founded in 1926 by modern dance pioneer Martha Graham, the Company celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026. The program will feature Graham classics like Lamentation and Appalachian Spring, set to the music of Aaron Copeland, alongside new works by today’s leading choreographers, such as Jamar Roberts’ We the People, set to a commissioned score by Grammy-winning composer and folk musician Rhiannon Giddens. In her lifetime, Graham choreographed 181 works over 70 years. Today, the Martha Graham Dance Company features some of the best dancers in the world.
