Kick off the summer with us at our 3rd annual Crocker Park Block Party on Sunday, June 11th! We’re proudly partnering with several departments from the City of Westlake to offer a fun day of personal safety activities, games, exhibits, demos, and more. This free event will feature the return of a family favorite, Touch-A-Truck, where you can get up close and personal with the Westlake Police (Bomb Squad, SWAT, Drone, etc.), Westlake Fire (Medic Unit and a Fire Truck), Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Unit, Cuyahoga County Sheriffs Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Internet Crimes Against Children and more.
In partnership with Hermes Sports & Events, the event will kick off at 9:30am with the Crocker Bark 5K & 1-Mile Walk sponsored by
Elite K-911 at Market Square. Runners, walkers, and their canine companions will take a scenic route through Westlake. The race is open to all levels of runners as well as their leashed, four-legged friends. A portion of the proceeds from the $35/person registration will support the City of Westlake’s K9 Unit.
Immediately following the race, there will be a demonstration of the Westlake K9 Unit at 10:30AM and all are encouraged to enjoy the Crocker Park Block Party from 11am-3pm featuring fun for the whole family including:
– Meet and Greet with Westlake Police Department law enforcement officers
– Touch-A-Truck
– K-9 demonstrations
– Live Music
– Chalk Zone
– Face Painting, Balloon Twister, and more
– Food Trucks
– Vendors & Exhibitors
It’s your neighborhood block party, but bigger and better. The afternoon will also host several other activities, games, and giveaways for kids and so much more. Looking forward to seeing you all at this fun, FREE event.
Timing: 5K starts at 9:30am, Block Party starts at 11:00am, and the activies will wrap up at 3:00pm.
