Hot off the release of “Mama Mia! Here We Go Again,” a musical-film in which she acts as part of an all-star cast, Cher launched her aptly-named tour Here We Go Again in 2018 — and she’s making her way to Cleveland on Feb. 6. Not strictly a nod to the film, the tour’s name also shows the music icon’s longevity; this will be her seventh solo tour over the course of 40 years. (It’s also kind of tongue-in-cheek, considering her 2002-2005 tour was named Living Proof: The Farewell Tour.)
The Here We Go Again Tour promotes Cher’s 26th studio album, Dancing Queen — another “Mama Mia!” reference, sure, but also completely appropriate for the Goddess of Pop. As always, the show promises to be epic, with Niles Rodgers & Chic opening the night to get everyone in the disco mood. Expect to see Cher in full form with costume changes galore, jaw-dropping vocals, stage theatrics, mega light shows and an energy that makes you wonder if she really can turn back time (the 72-year-old’s got serious moves, and is still incredible).
The concert will take place at Quicken Loans Arena in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, so you’ll be surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants to hit before or after the show.
