This indoor holiday tradition continues at Penitentiary Glen Reservation at Lake Metroparks. Candy Land comes to life as a giant game board that takes you on a journey highlighting nature’s gifts through all four seasons.
A special exhibit features Mr. Jingeling and The Halle Bros. Co. connection to Penitentiary Glen. The “s’more-nament” craft has returned and is wilder than ever. In addition, new outdoor and indoor scavenger hunts and activity pages are fun for the whole family. Enjoy holiday shopping at The Nature Store with unique nature-themed gifts. Snacks and beverages are also available. Snowshoe rentals, weather permitting.
Each Saturday, enjoy an outdoor campfire with s’mores from 1-3 p.m. Each Sunday, meet live animals from the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center up close and personal.
Also, weather permitting, there will be train rides on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1-3 p.m.
