Two of international soccer’s premier men’s national teams will meet at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on June 6 as Brazil faces Egypt in a high-profile international friendly, part of the Road to 26 series leading up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match will showcase global superstars, including Vinícius Júnior for Brazil and Mohamed Salah for Egypt, offering fans a rare opportunity to see elite international soccer talent compete in Cleveland ahead of the world’s biggest sporting event.
Huntington Bank Field (home of the Cleveland Browns) has hosted several high-profile international soccer matches, including a 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup match that brought elite national teams to Cleveland as part of the region’s growing global soccer profile. The stadium has also hosted multiple international friendlies featuring the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, along with major club matchups such as an MLS showdown between the Columbus Crew and Inter Miami featuring Lionel Messi, demonstrating Cleveland’s ability to stage world-class soccer events ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Brazil enters as the most successful nation in FIFA World Cup history, with five championships (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002) and two runner-up finishes. The Seleção is the only team to have appeared in every FIFA World Cup tournament and holds the all-time record for match wins, underscoring its legacy as a global soccer powerhouse.
