Pussy willows are a timeless sign of the last moments of winter and the gentle arrival of spring—soft, fuzzy buds emerging along bare branches like tiny cats’ paws. Join All Forward for a seasonal CONNECTIONS experience at Greenfield Berry Farm in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a working farm dedicated to preserving and protecting the rural landscape of the park. You’ll meet Daniel Greenfield, local farmer and environmental educator, and head into the fields to harvest pussy willows together—collecting a dozen stems to take home as a reminder that spring is on its way. From the farm, we’ll continue to Peninsula Wine Cellar to enjoy a beverage and light snacks in a warm, welcoming setting. Conversation continues as Daniel shares his journey farming in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the influence of Henry David Thoreau on his philosophy and connection to land, nature, and simple living.
