Thousands of spring blooms become a picturesque backdrop for an evening of sampling a variety of international, domestic and regional wines accompanied by great food and live music at Bouquets Wine Tasting at the Holden Arboretum on Saturday, June 1 from 5pm – 7:30pm. Guests are invited to stroll through the outdoor gardens as they sample from over 50 different wines. Included with the ticket prices is 12 tasting tickets, a take-home wine glass sampler and a take-home bottle of wine. Also included is food accompaniments by local restaurants including Chefs for Hire Catering, Culinaire Pavane, Driftwood Catering, Ianiro’s Imported Foods, Bon Appetit Management Co., The Olive and The Grape, Great Scott Tavern, Kirtland City Tavern, and Great Lakes Cheese. Live music by the dynamic folk-jazz group Stable Shakers will be featured throughout the evening. New this year is a special instructor-led pre-event tasting called Taste of Terroir focusing on the factors that make up a wine, including soil, topography and climate, specifically in the California regions. This takes place from 3:30 - 4:45pm. Tickets for Bouquets are $70 per member, $90 per nonmember and $35 per designated driver. Combined tickets including Bouquets and Taste of Terroir are $95 per member, $135 per nonmember and $35 per designated driver.
