IngenuityFest has been described as a little bit South by Southwest, a little bit Burning Man, a little bit TEDx. But the truth is, describing the two-day event in just a few words can be a little difficult.
In short: this is a three-day festival that celebrates art, music and technology in Cleveland. It can be family-friendly, and it can be edgy. It can be thought-provoking and it can be truly bizarre (but in a good way). But one thing is for certain: this is not your average funnel-cake-and-carnival-rides kind of festival.
What To Do There:
- The best thing to do at IngenuityFest is to keep your eyes open and look to be inspired. You'll find large-scale art installations, fashion, video and film projects, artisan vendors, local food and craft beer. If the thing you're checking out at a given moment isn't your cup of tea, look to your left or right - something else will probably blow your mind.
What Else to Do:
- In addition to art and technology, IngenuityFest is known for its eclectic array of live performances including music, dance and theater performances. Recent years have seen as many as 40 live bands play over the three-day festival.
Tips for Attending:
- IngenuityFest could be described as mostly family friendly, but check the program for any events that may not be suitable for the little ones - previous years, for instance, have included an Ingenuity Cabaret act.
