The health and safety of our community is of paramount importance to the Cleveland Christian Home. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and crisis, we have made the decision suspend the 5K for Kids, planned for May 30, 2020 at South Mastic Park in the Cleveland Metroparks. There will be no event held that day. Instead, we invite you to participate in the inaugural CCH Virtual 5K for Kids, presented by NAE/NWAN!
Physical exercise is one of the easiest, and healthiest ways to combat feelings of sadness, fear, and depression. Feelings the children we serve often feel. So go for a walk, a jog, a run to support your own mental health while supporting the kids and programs at Cleveland Christian Home at the same time!
So what is a Virtual 5K? It’s a run or walk your way!
On any day, at any time, between May 10th and June 15th, take a walk or go for a run at a location of your choice maintaining a safe social distance from others. It can be a park, a street, your neighborhood, or even a treadmill.
Track your time and/or distance using the honor system, meaning you don’t have to report back in to us. To download a PDF version of the registration, or use the Register Now button on the right. Compliments of our presenting sponsor, NAE/NWAN, you will receive an event branded t-shirt and official bib to wear!
The top fundraiser in each category, Individual, Family, and Team, will receive a top honors prize! And don’t be shy! Send us your photos, videos, and stories to share! Use hashtags #GetMovinGetHappy or #5KForCCHKids whether you’re crossing the finish line or rocking your T-shirt and bib! Can’t get outside? Your treadmill steps count as well!
Each participant who signs up for 5K for Kids is challenged to raise $100 or more in donations, but no matter how much you raise, we appreciate your help! Ask family, friends, neighbors, & co-workers to support you in the Cleveland Christian Home Virtual 5K for Kids.
