Dyngus Day, a Polish tradition, occurs every year on Easter Monday throughout several neighborhoods on Cleveland's west side.
How do we celebrate? How else? With tons of Polish food (pierogi, stuffed cabbage, polish sausage and more), polka music and beer, of course. On top of that, you'll be privy to an evening parade consisting of a ridiculous pierogi float, a large swath of marching accordionists and the kind of eccentric camaraderie you're only going to find in Cleveland.
While the main events happen in the Gordon Square district of the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood, you’ll find a whole host of Dyngus Day antics happening across Tremont and Ohio City, as well.
What do you do when you get there? We've got the 411 here.
