Learn about the first major female rock critic, Cleveland legend and true trailblazer, Jane Scott. Jane was known as “The World’s Oldest Rock Critic.” She covered rock ‘n’ roll full-time for The Plain Dealer since Sept. 15, 1964, the day the Beatles played Public Hall in Cleveland on their first concert tour of the United States. She was also instrumental in bringing the Rock and Roll of Fame to Cleveland. This Cleveland legend’s story will be presented by other Cleveland famed locals, Michael Norman (Entertainment Editor for Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer, who covered the opening the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame), John Soeder (Plain Dealer’s pop music critic since ‘98), and Janet Macoska (Concert photographer since ’74).
