The Cleveland International Piano Competition takes place from July 8 - August 11 and consists of breathtaking musical performances, audience programming, and community and educational initiatives for all audiences.
With the competition taking a hybrid approach, the event can be enjoyed both in-person and virtually.
A virtual opening ceremony kicks off the competition on August 7 at 7:00 p.m. The first and second rounds take place Thursday - Sunday, July 8 - July 25, and will be broadcasted virtually for free.
First and second round watch parties will take place at the following times and locations:
- July 8 at Pinecrest
- July 15 at Beachwood Community Center
- July 22 at Music Box Supper Club
Following the first two rounds, eight semifinalists will advance to the next round and will perform July 29 - August 1 at Gartner Auditorium at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Four finalists will advance to the final round, with performances taking place August 3-4 alongside the Escher String Quartet at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and concluding August 6-7 at Severance Hall where the finalists will perform with the Cleveland Orchestra.
