This Spring the Buckeye Trailfest will be taking place in Northeast Ohio at Camp Manatoc in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park from April 30 - May 3rd. The Buckeye Trail is a 1444 mile trail loop that reaches all the way around the state (starting at Mentor Headlands) and includes a smaller loop through the Cleveland/Akron area. If you've seen blue blazes painted on trees in our local parks or along the road, you have seen the Buckeye Trail. The Buckeye Trailfest is a yearly gathering of trail enthusiasts, hikers, and trail maintainers, that takes place in a different part of the state each year. This year we are excited to be able to help raise awareness of the Buckeye Trail in Northeast Ohio. The event will include guided hikes, presentations, programs, and workshops, opportunities to learn about getting involved in trail maintenance, and opportunities for camping.
