Hanukkah, is a very special eight-day celebration known as the “festival of lights,” which is steeped in spiritual meaning and brought to life by the more than 80,000 Jewish Clevelanders and their families every year. It’s a ceremonial nod to that one special jar of oil that lasted for a miraculous eight nights during the heroic rededication of the Jewish Temple.
Cleveland is packed with local businesses and organization at the ready to celebrate Hanukkah — whether that is through traditional menorah-lighting events or simply nomming our way through big batches of delicious latkes. Come celebrate with us here in Cleveland.

After you’re done logging about 10,000 steps walking in and out of the holiday-draped stores throughout Crocker Park, head over to The Hyatt Place, centrally located on the property, for a Chanukah celebration sponsored by Chabad of the West Side. Enjoy traditional Chanukah music, take-home crafts, ice-skating for the whole family, cold beer and a latke bar. On top of that, there’ll be a giant menorah lighting and gelt drop. And, don’t leave without stopping by the Chanukah-themed photography studio.

Every great party calls for a great location. So, head to Music Box Supper Club for their second annual Hanukkah Party in the Flats West Bank. The holiday gathering is open to everyone in the family — so there’s no need to get a babysitter this Hanukkah. Included in your $10 admission (kids get in free) is parking, hors d'oeuvres and entertainment provided by Jewish rock musician, Dan Nichols.
