Guide to Cleveland’s Little Italy: Restaurants, Bakeries and Things to Do

From homemade pasta and historic Italian restaurants to fresh pastries, gelato and neighborhood traditions, explore, eat and experience Little Italy in The Land.

Addison Siedler August 05, 2026

Whether you’re visiting Cleveland for the first time, planning a date‑night with your amore or gathering la famiglia around the table, Little Italy is easy to explore—and ready to welcome you. This guide highlights the neighborhood’s most loved restaurants, bakeries and longtime favorites, so you know what to expect and where to start.

From classic pastas to pastries that won't even make it out the door, loosen your belt, follow your nose and wander through the flavors that make this neighborhood feel like a little slice of  — right here in Cleveland.

Mangiare

Mia Bella Restaurant

Mia Bella feels like your nonna's dining room the moment you walk in. Named after the owner’s daughter, Bella, the menu blends contemporary Italian dishes with a Mediterranean influence. Fresh pastas, seasonal specials and house cocktails make it easy to settle in and stay awhile.

Guarino’s Restaurant

When you walk into Guarino’s, you're stepping into Cleveland history. Opened in 1918, the family-owned restaurant has spent generations serving classic Italian-American dishes in a space that hasn’t lost its charm. Pastas, familiar favorites and a dining room full of stories keeps locals and visitors coming back year after year.

Michaelangelo’s

Michaelangelo’s is the kind of place people just keep coming back to. The menu leans into classic Italian dishes from traditional pasta plates and other entrees to comfort classics. It’s an easy choice when you want good food and time to catch up around the table.

La Dolce Vita

La Dolce Vita has been part of Little Italy since 1914, and it shows in the best way. Old-world character meets an easy, welcoming atmosphere. Come for a multi-course dinner or stop in for coffee and a pastry — either way, it’s a place where conversation stretches on and time slows down a little. Head over on Opera Night for a little side of live opera singing with your entree.

Dolci

Presti’s Bakery, Corbo’s Bakery

Presti’s Bakery and Corbo’s Bakery anchor Little Italy’s love for all things sweet. At Presti’s, the smell of fresh bread and pastries has filled the shop since 1903, with family‑made, flaky pastries, cookies and golden loaves of bread. Just down the street, Corbo’s pulls you in with display cases lined with Italian pastries and desserts — including cannoli and the locally beloved strawberry cassata cake.

Rosso Gelato

When the sun’s out, Rosso Gelato is an easy stop for a cool treat. You’ll find rich, creamy, Italian-style gelato in rotating seasonal flavors, plus fruit-forward sorbettos for a brighter bite.

Caffè, vino e vita

Little Italy doesn’t end when the meal does. Little Italy Wines is a neighborhood shop for bottles from Italy and beyond, with a selection that works just as well for a casual dinner as a special occasion. Nearby, Blue Sky Brews offers coffee, tea and light bites in a laid-back setting that fits easily into a walk through the neighborhood.

Community life has long centered around Alta House, one of Cleveland’s oldest settlement houses and now home to recreation space, classrooms and programs that bring people together. The Italian American Museum of Cleveland adds context to it all, sharing the stories and history that shaped Little Italy and the generations who built it. Each August, the Feast of the Assumption brings those traditions into the street, filling Mayfield Road with music, food and familiar faces.
