When the sun sets, this free and family-friendly event begins.

Whether you’re chasing around a furry friend, want to hit the town with your significant other or are traveling into the city with the entire family, here are the best places for you to go in Downtown Cleveland to catch the fireworks on Independence Day.

There aren't many ways to celebrate the holiday that are more American than a day at the ballpark with the boys of summer. Cleveland hosts the New York Yankees for a three game homestand July 1 - 3 at Progressive Field. Enjoy "Dollar Dogs" and a "Guards" T-Shirt on Friday night, July 1, grab a 1947 Larry Doby jersey on Saturday, July 2, and finish it off with Kids Fun Day on Sunday, July 3rd. Oh, and of course there are fireworks displays planned for Friday and Saturday.
