Welcome to Mt. Pleasant, an east-side Cleveland neighborhood where Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb spent his childhood. As one of the earliest locations for Black homeownership in Cleveland, Mt. Pleasant residents take pride in their neighborhood with its rich African American tradition and Black culture.
Throughout the neighborhood, you’ll spot shiny new construction and historic homes and businesses. Enjoy convenient, day-to-day resources and attractions like Luke Easter Park (the largest urban park in Ohio) and the Kinsman Road neighborhood retail district. And no account of Mt. Pleasant would be complete without a nod to Mt Pleasant Bar-B-Q, the Mayor’s personal favorite barbeque joint whose ownership is directly connected to the invention of the classic, Cleveland-favorite food the Polish Boy.
