Bakeries & Sweets

Have you eaten all your vegetables today?

Honestly, who cares? You’re a grown-up who can chow down on a bearclaw anytime you choose.

The truth is, cities can’t claim a great dining scene if their restaurants can’t hang through the sugar-coated finale. And, by that, we mean dessert.

Thankfully, The Land’s renowned culinary scene, stoked in innovation and built on sophisticated grit, knows a thing or two about eating. And, when it comes to dessert, we’re not messing around.

Screaming for ice cream? Calm down, because Honey Hut, Mitchell’s Ice Cream and Mason’s Creamery are here for you.

Need. Chocolate. Now? Malley’s Chocolates churns out chocolates and candies that make those big-name chocolate makers look bush league. Or take a tour at the Harry London Chocolate Factory and see where the magic happens.

And what better way to experience breakfast than with something that’s surely going to give you a sugar high? Head to Brewnuts for wildly inventive donuts made with — what else? — beer. Or nosh on some decadent, always-there-for-you pastries, pies, muffins and cakes served up in Cleveland’s bakeries.

Here’s more than a baker’s dozen of some of the best bakeries and confectionaries you’ll find in in The Land of sugary sensations. Go ahead and indulge; you’ve earned it.
