Heather Tunstall

Heather blames April O’Neil, that spunky reporter from the 80s-90s cartoon version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for inspiring her to be a journalist.

From a starry-eyed kid pretending to be a news reporter to a high-schooler who spent all her study halls in journalism class to a real-life professional magazine journalist, Heather never stopped loving the art of storytelling. Today, she has about 15 years under her belt writing in a professional capacity. She contracts writing and content marketing services to agencies, corporations, nonprofits, government associations and publications. She’s interviewed the likes of Richard Branson, Buzz Aldrin, musicians, chefs, business owners, and most of the Cleveland Guardians 2016 World Series team (and only fangirled a little bit).

Cleveland is Heather’s heartbeat. An outdoorsy type, she loves living in a place where she can experience all four seasons (sometimes in a single day). Lake Erie and the Cleveland Metroparks are big draws for her. She mostly just stares at the lake, but occasionally gets out on a boat or kayak. Her obsession with the CLE food scene is borderline obnoxious. And the home of rock ‘n’ roll scores major points with her — she’s an avid rock fan who regularly attends loud, raucous concerts in Cleveland’s storied venues. She lives in Lakewood with her husband and daughter.

The Best Part

“To me, the best part of CLE is its people — their intense passion for the city, for doing good, and for supporting one another is what will keep me happily planted here for life.”
