Event - Build It

Build It! Engineering fun one brick at a time, presented by ArcelorMittal, opens on Saturday, February 4! The Build It! exhibition will be divided into three distinct phases: Play It!, Explore It! and Move It!. The first phase, “Play It!,” kicks off on February 4 and runs through May 14. Play It! is anchored by Castle Builder, 2,500 square feet of exhibits from the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, featuring medieval themed LEGO area and activities including: *a large castle structure with LEGO sculptures *building tables *digital catapult *large dragon made of LEGOs *A castle slide *A DUPLO building area. Five LEGO exhibits built by the staff at the Science Center are part of Play It! as well, including race tracks with a LEGO car building station, brick puzzle mazes made by local expert builder Arthur Gugick, an area where guests can make brick mosaic artwork to put on temporary display, a “blind build” challenge where guests use only their sense of touch to construct a specific mini-kit, and four stop-motion animation stations where guests can make their own LEGO mini-movies.
