It’s spring. No joke. The calendar says so. We’re not going to tell you winter coats won’t be needed until next winter. We’d likely be lying. We ARE going to tell you that when it’s 50 degrees in Cleveland, shorts are an option. Weekend forecast is calling for something other than bitter chill. Let’s celebrate.
Fridays are for art exploration at 78th Street Studios. Visit funky galleries and studios, buy some art and cap your night off with a cocktail in the Gordon Square Arts district.
Playhouse Square hosts improv comedy with “Whose Live Anyway?” based on the TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway. Or, catch the ever-popular Flanagan’s Wake (there’s a bar at the show!). Also over the weekend, the Dobama Theatre’s “Appropriate” opens, while Cleveland Public Theatre’s puts on week five of its “Test Flight” play development series, which features Odysseus Unraveled.
Get your baseball fix with the Lake County Captains at Classic Park in Eastlake.
Celebrate Earth Day with the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this Sunday. Paid admission to the zoo also grants you access to the “Party for the Planet.” This family-friendly event (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) features tours, talks with animal keepers, social media activities and special educational opportunities to learn how everyday habits can positively affect the world’s animal population.
