6pm: Cleveland Heights' Nighttown was voted one of the top jazz clubs in the world by Down Beat magazine with live music nearly every night. With a variety of dining rooms and intimate performance settings, Nighttown has topped Cleveland's jazz scene since 1965, and it only gets better with age. 9am:  Take a bite out of a vast selection of dishes named after the customers who helped Tommy's Restaurant thrive for more than 30 years at this hip, laid-back joint. 1824 Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights, 44118, 216.321.7757,

11am: If chilling out is the name of your game, then make your way to the Cleveland Botanical Garden for an afternoon of serenity. Of course you can't miss the acres of outdoor gardens, but don't forget to check out the indoor glasshouses as well. 11030 East Blvd., University Circle, 44106, 216.721.1600,

1pm: Head up the street to Maxi's Bistro in Little Italy where lunch will have you face-to-fork with some delightfully filling Italian dishes ranging from goat cheese ravioli to handmade pizzas. 12113 Mayfield Road, Little Italy, 44106, 216.421.1500,

2:30pm: Take the afternoon to walk through the boutiques, art galleries and Italian eateries that line Mayfield Avenue and Murray Hill in Cleveland's Little Italy. Make a stop at Corbo's Bakery for a decadent slice of cassata cake, get some homemade cannoli to-go from Presti's or savor a glass of vino inside La Dolce Vita.

4:30pm: More than just a cemetery, the 285-acre Lake View Cemetery is an outdoor sculpture museum filled with gardens, incredible architecture and historic tributes honoring the likes of President James A. 6pm: Have dinner at a Cleveland music tradition where many of jazz's greats once played. Wilbert's is a restaurant and entertainment venue that showcases some of the best national, regional and local roots, blues, folk, world, jam, reggae and jazz music. 8pm: Owned and operated by the prestigious Cleveland Music Settlement, which boasts more than a century of musical expertise, BOP STOP is quickly reemerging as one of the best venues to catch live jazz music several days of the week. 2920 Detroit Ave., Ohio City, 44113, 216.771.6551,

10pm: Make the night count with a finale stop at the Velvet Tango Room, an under-the-radar, upscale cocktail lounge in between Tremont and Ohio City that's got decades of experience under its belt. 11am: On one Sunday every month, Cleveland's House of Blues comes alive with praise for its Gospel Brunch. Besides the array of hearty brunch foods served in buffet-style throughout the venue, there's gospel music - and tons of it.
