It’s Wine O’Clock In Cleveland

Wine OClock

Tilt. Roll. Swirl. Swish. Repeat. Tilt. Roll. Swirl. Swish. Repeat

And you can keep repeating and repeating because the Cleveland area is home to over 50 wineries that exist along three geographic wine trails.

So, you can make a number of wine-focused daytrips that take you to:

1.      The Vines & Wines Trail (east of Cleveland)

2.      The Lake Erie Shores & Islands Trail (west of Cleveland)

3.      The Canal Country Trail (south of Cleveland)

Thanks to our buds at the Ohio Wine Producers Association, you can map out your daytrip, learn about winery events and get a good feel for what to expect.

Or, check out some of our favorite wineries here. These guys offer everything from European varietals to local favorites grown by farmers right here in Northeast Ohio.

Wine Tours

Some of you just aren't up for doing the driving. We totally get that. Consider a wine tour on a shuttle - so you can keep your focus on tasting.

Take a tour with the experts on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday with Wine Tours of Cleveland. These trips include transportation, stops at three wineries and some munchies along the way.

If you've got a group interested in touring a number of wineries, contact Discover My Cleveland offering all the planning and logistics behind a specialty trip.

Overnight Accommodations

What's even better than a wine tour with your very own designated driver? Making it an overnight experience.

Offbeat Wineries

Some of us just want an atypical winery experience - unlike anything you can experience anywhere else. These offbeat wineries offer the unordinary.

Get the Spins

As the name implies, Old Firehouse Winery is located in an old firehouse - the village's first fire station to be exact.  Lest we forget to mention the winery also overlooks Lake Erie and has its own ferris wheel! (Vines & Wines Trail)

Wine in Church. Amen.

South River Winery, housed in a gorgeous century-old church, serves up some pretty tasty wines with names like "Temptation," "Trinity," and "Creation." (Vines & Wines Trail)

Cue: Jimmy Buffet Tunes

Not much compares to the concept of drinking wine on an island.  And, you've got just that at Heineman Winery located on the Lake Erie island village of Put-in-Bay. While there, tour Crystal Cave, the world's largest geode. (Lake Erie Shores & Islands Trail)

Some Greeno With Your Vino
