10am: The coffee craze has moved beyond talls and ventis thanks to establishments like Rising Star Coffee, which offers discerning customers free trade coffee grown in sustainable ways. 1455 West 29th Street, Cleveland, 44113, www.risingstarcoffee.com

11:30am: B and G Tavern is an old-school bar and pool hall that's got plenty of grit and vintage-y décor to spare. But, this 30-year-old Cleveland institution is a great spot to shoot pool with four coin-operated tables. 4150 Lorain Ave, Detroit-Shoreway, 44113, 216.651.0883, www.bandgtavern.com

1:30pm: You thought you knew a grilled cheese sandwich, but one look at the menu at Melt Bar & Grilled, and you'll have to re-think that idea. 9pm: Lakewood's Spitfire Saloon is a dive bar with a punk rock attitude.
