Pay to park? Nah. Bus money? Forget it. Save those dollars for your night out by taking advantage of the RTA Free Trolleys that loop around Downtown every 10 minutes. All you have to do is stand at the designated stop, smile and you’ll ride free--although, they'll probably still pick up stoic people (we're looking at you, Corey Kluber), but it's more fun to stand by the side of the road and grin.
Here's a run-down of your freebie ride options.
Service from the Muny Parking Lot to Chester Ave. and back via East 9th St.
Beat the morning rush to work by utilizing the NineTwelve Trolley. Park your car for $4 in the Muny lot at 1500 South Marginal Rd. and then hop on the trolley to head into the heart of Downtown. Or, impress your friends with your insider knowledge during Browns tailgaiting and take this route between the Muny Lot and Downtown festivities.
E is for entertainment, and that’s exactly what this trolley is perfect for. The E-Line is your free ride to all the Downtown hotspots. Running down Euclid Ave., the E-Line makes stops at Tower City, The Arcade, Playhouse Square and Cleveland State University.
Perfect for getting to your show at Playhouse Square after dinner at one of the various world-class restaurants on Euclid Ave. or for a nightcap at any of the nearby bars.
Make the most of your business day by hopping on the B-Line to quickly get around Cleveland’s major business centers. The trolley offers service between the Warehouse District, Tower City-Public Square, The Arcade, Cleveland City Hall and the Huntington Convention Center.
The best way to get from the JACK Casino to the Huntington Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation is the C-Line Trolley. The trolley also stops at 10 major hotels, Playhouse Square, the Warehouse District and East 4th for an easy way to mix work and play.
Now through Labor Day, the C-Line Trolley route is being extended to better serve the growing popularity of Flats East Bank. From their regular routes, trolleys will head west on Main Ave., north on West 11th St., and east on Front Avenue.
