Summer sporting in CLE

Baseball (with hot dog in hand) is usually the summertime sporting go-to, but it's not the only thing going on (don't tell the Indians we said that!). Cleveland is an active city, and whether you're competing yourself or you'd rather watch others sweat it out, there's plenty to do.
Cleveland Critical Mass | Last Friday of Every Month
C-Town residents and guests have no shortage of ways to raise their heart rate. On the last Friday of every month, Cleveland Critical Mass gathers bicycle enthusiasts for a leisurely ride that starts at Public Square and snakes through the city's neighborhoods and beyond.
Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival | July 23-Aug. 7, 2017
Can't wait for football season to start? Get a taste during the summer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival, which takes over the city of Canton, located 60 miles south of Cleveland. Throughout the two-week festival, more than 700,000 people converge onto the city including legendary Hall of Famers, celebrity athletes, team owners and a host of fans. From autograph sessions to parades and of course a football game, you're sure to get your pigskin fix.
World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational | Aug. 3-6, 2017
Of course, it's also nail-biting to watch other athletes compete--such as during Firestone Country Club's World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, which finds golf pros from around the world competing for birdie bragging rights.
NEOCycle | Sept. 8-10, 2017
The fourth annual NEOCycle, a weekend cycling extravaganza centered around scenic Edgewater Park, boasts rousing music, beer, and heart-healthy activities such as a Night Ride on the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway or a rough-and-tumble Cyclocross race (that's not for newbies).
