The Feast of the Assumption is Cleveland's Little Italy at its best

Dining

Little Italy restaurants like Angelo’s Nido Italia Ristorante, Corbo’s Bakery, Guarino’s Restaurant, La Dolce Vita, Maxi’s, Mia Bella, Presti’s Bakery and Trattoria will serve up their classics at stands in front of their usual business locations. There will also be street vendors selling almost everything you can think of. Roasted nuts, kettle corn, artichokes, gyros, lemonade, frozen yogurt, elephant ears, clams, funnel cakes and more will be available on Mayfield Rd. during the festival.

On Aug. 15, Holy Rosary Church will host a sit-down cavatelli dinner from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church. The dinner will be $8 for adults and $5 for children for cavatelli, meatball, salad, bread/butter, beverage and cake. You won't want to miss it.

Transportation

With scarce parking in Little Italy, opt for public transportation to eliminate the stress. The RTA Red Line now stops in Little Italy right across from Tony Brush Park. And the Health Line stops at the bottom of Mayfield Hill as it makes its way down Euclid Ave.

Mayfield Rd. will be closed during the festival. It will close one hour before the festival starts each day and open one hour after the festival ends each night.
