Considered one of the top in the nation, the nine-day long Cleveland Beer Week features more than 350 events that showcase local breweries, restaurants, bars, taverns, grocers and specialty beverage stores. From music and activities, brewery collaboration tappings, ale tastings and brewmaster meet-and-greets, Cleveland Beer Week events offer unique specials aimed at raising awareness of craft brews. Now in its fifth year, there’s no better time during the year to explore Cleveland’s craft brew options alongside the city’s award-winning culinary scene.

Flagship Events

Friday, October 18 (7pm-10pm) Collaboration Kickoff

For the official opening of Cleveland Beer Week, five different Cleveland neighborhoods feature one-of-a-kind, small batch collaboration beers created by the some of the region’s most notable breweries. Each neighborhood event offers visitors the opportunity to taste all seven brews such as the Evil Monk created by Thirsty Dog and Portside, the Wango Tango Mango from Fat Head’s Brewery and Chardon BrewWorks and the Berlot, a strong ale aged in wine barrels from Great Lakes Brewing Company and Cellar Rats Brewery.

Sunday, October 20 (2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm) Culture Yourself

Challenging attendees to forget what they’ve heard about wine and cheese, Culture Yourself explores the real perfect pairing between craft beers and artisanal cheeses. The interactive and educational event held in the Great Lakes Brewing Company tasting room, features 14 breweries showcasing which beer styles pair best with various types of cheeses.

Friday, October 25 (6pm-9pm) Ales on Rails

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the nation’s 10th most-visited National Park aboard a vintage train car on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad all while drinking specialty craft brews. The evening experience features boxed suppers courtesy of Winking Lizard and features seven different beers such as Thirsty Dog’s 12 Dogs of Christmas Ale, the High Five IPA from Lager Heads Brewery and more.

Saturday, October 26 (6pm-10pm) - BREWzilla

Local breweries are highlighted in the Ohio Brewery area while more than 70 breweries come together for a final Cleveland Beer Week gathering event in the Galleria mall. Visitors, who receive a 3 oz. custom tasting glass and25 tasting tickets, can also enjoy a Belgian Beer Garden and tasty appetizers created to pair with craft brews.
