A Monster of a Champion

Join The Cleveland Monsters as they kick off their title defense on October 14th

We're not sure if you've heard, but Cleveland is once again a City of Champions, and Quicken Loans Arena is now the new epicenter of all things glitter and gold. "The Q" is, of course, home to the Cavaliers, who won the 2016 NBA Championship, and it also hosted Cleveland native Stipe Moicic's successful defense of his UFC heavyweight title.

It's also the home arena of another reigning champ, the Calder Cup winning Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The Monsters will return to the ice on October 14 with festivities including their ring celebration and so much more. The first 10,000 fans will receive a replica of the championship banner to raise in your own home, just like the Monsters will be doing that evening. In fact they'll be throwing a party all championship weekend long and tickets are still available so act fast to join in on the fun.

If you can't make it to the opening weekend, don't worry: The Monsters' season is full of exciting promotions for fans of all ages. Here is a sampling of some of our favorite events. Be sure to check their promotions page for the full run-down.

  • 1-2-3 Fridays: $1 Pepsi Products, $2 hot dogs and $3 select draft beers every Friday.
  • Special Jersey Nights: Throughout the year, the Monsters will have promotional jersey and warm-up jersey nights. Our favorites are Make-A-Wish (2/3) and Go Pink (3/24).
  • College ID Nights: Every weekday, valid college ID holders can get $6 tickets and a $6 College Meal Deal complete with a hot dog, soda and drink.
  • Kids Day Games: Every weekend matinee game, the first 1,000 kids through the gates receive a free day pass to Castaway Bay.
