Experience The 2015 Pro Football Hall Of Fame Enshrinement Festival

Oh, we know your type. You're the person we find grilling up brats and burgers in a stadium parking lot on gameday at 6 a.m. Your fantasy football team gets more love and attention than your overgrown lawn. And, you may or may not have painted your face in your team's colors more than once in your life.

We like your type, dear football fan.

And, we're here to feed your obsession with the details of an incredible trip to the legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival in Canton July 26-Aug. 13.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival takes over the city of Canton, which is located 60 miles south of Cleveland (just follow I-77 South and you're there). Not only is Canton the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but it's also where the American Professional Football Association, later renamed the National Football League, was founded in 1920.

Throughout the two-week festival, more than 700,000 people converge onto the city including legendary Hall of Famers, celebrity athletes, team owners and a host of fans.

Included in the mix are also the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015 Enshrinees: Jerome Bettis, Charles Haley, Tim Brown, Junior Seau, Will Shields, Bill Polian, Ron Wolf and Mick Tingelhoff.

7. Balloon Classic: July 31-Aug. 2

Sufferin' succotash! Is that a seven-stories-tall Sylvester the Cat in the sky? Sure is. The kick-off to the Enshrinement Festival includes the free Balloon Classic, in which more than 60 hot air balloonists from around the nation participate in hopes of winning prize money. But these aren't all your run-of-the-mill hot air balloons. Fan favorites include the Angry Bird, El-Fonz, Tweety Bird and The Pig.

6. Enshrinees Gold Jacket Dinner: Aug. 6

The three physical icons that represent an individual's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame include: (1) the bust, (2) the gold jacket and (3) the ring. Join the 2015 Class during the Enshrinees Gold Jacket Dinner at Memorial Civic Center and Cultural Center, where you can witness the crew getting their jackets while being honored by several returning Hall of Famers, NFL team owners and sports celebs.

5. Autograph and Photo Sessions Galore: Aug. 7-9

Throughout the Enshrinement Festival Weekend, there are ample opportunities to snap a selfie with Hall of Famers, as well as the 2015 Class of Enshrinees.

  • Gold Jacket Photo Op: Aug. 7
  • Fanatics Authentic Autograph Session: Aug. 8
  • Returning Hall of Famers Autograph Session: Aug. 8
  • Special Autograph Session: Aug. 9

4. TimkenSteel Grand Parade: Aug. 8

There are parades. And then there's the TimkenSteel Grand Parade. The massive 2.2-mile parade features giant helium balloons (think: Macy's Thanksgiving Day size), professionally designed floats, hundreds of marching band members, the Class of 2015 Enshrinees, returning Hall of Famers and 200,000 spectators. Yeah. It's a big deal.

3. Class of 2015 Enshrinement Ceremony: Aug. 8

If you're looking for that once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience, the Enshrinement Ceremony at Fawcett Stadium is the emotional centerpiece to the multi-day festival. Nowhere else can fans see so many of football's best former players in one place at the same time.

2. Enshrinement Gameday Roundtable: Aug. 9

Unscripted and up-close-and-personal. That's how the Gameday Roundtable - a center stage roundtable with the 2015 Class of Enshrinees - is described. Enjoy lunch while listening to the Hall of Famers share stories and highlights from their careers at the Memorial Civic Center and Cultural Center.

1. NFL Hall of Fame Game: Aug. 9

Obviously, you can't call it a football festival without an actual football game. During the Hall of Fame Game, the 2015 NFL preseason commences. The Minnesota Vikings take on the Pittsburgh Steelers inside Fawcett Stadium right next door to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
